Great accommodation with good amenities, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Hot water in the shower and accessible WiFi with good reception. Beautiful grounds with a lagoon and boat tours available. Friendly and helpful hosts. Close to a restaurant and a small market. Good for birdwatching.
Felt truly spoilt, no complaints.

Wow! This place is absolutely mind-blowing! The rooms here are super comfortable and clean, and the setting is jaw-droppingly beautiful with a stunning garden and lagoon filled with an incredible variety of birds. The owner, Douglas, is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also super enthusiastic about helping guests. The tours on the canals in Cano Negro are top-notch. The breakfast served here is delicious, and the nearby restaurant, El Fogon, is excellent too. The free Wi-Fi works perfectly, even in the rooms. This place is a true gem and a must-visit if you want to escape the typical tourist attractions. Highly recommended!

The value for money at Poponjoche Lodge was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was beautiful with a nice garden and a lagoon. The staff treated us really well and were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
When it came to breakfast choices, I wish there were more options available to choose from.

I recently stayed at Poponjoche Lodge for a few days and it was absolutely wonderful. The family who runs the place, including Douglas, were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the cleanliness was impeccable. The beautiful garden and lagoon views at sunrise and sunset were breathtaking. I highly recommend the guided tours offered by the sons, they were knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. The locally caught fish served at dinner was amazing. the relaxed and familiar atmosphere of the lodge made it a perfect stay.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

The rooms were perfect for us and the location even better! Lovely hosts who made us breakfast at 5am. Good shower with hot water, accessible WiFi, and a good restaurant next door.
Felt like in a fairy, no complaints at all.
